Inspiration. Courage. Strength.

Speak Your Truth.

If you have the spirit of a gypsy and a soul made of magic then you are in the perfect spot.

I originally created this writing space to inspire myself to stay organized and write more frequently, but it has since evolved into so much more ~

My hope for this space is to encourage and inspire you as well!

All too often we become isolated and detached from the people around us.
We begin to believe that all of our problems are are entirely our own; that we are alone in the struggles we face.

Through sharing my own stories, my goal is to empower others to write and unveil and reclaim there own stories in order to heal and expand.

I wish to inspire and delight the senses ~
creating a space free from daily woes, and guide others to seeing and feeling the beauty and wonder in an otherwise very difficult world.

My Journey

Early one Sunday morning in the middle of October,
my mother gave birth to my life
 in St. John's, Newfoundland.
I grew up on the water, sailing, and fishing. Always with one eye on that gorgeous horizon; dreaming of travelling every corner of this Earth.

In my senior year of highschool I contracted a disease that ravaged my body for almost 2 years.
Through the process of healing both my mind and body, I was lead into the wonderful world of yoga.

What originally started out as a means of physical rehabilitation turned into a life long journey of self- discovery, self-love, and spirirtuality.

In December of 2013 I completed my
200Hr Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica,
led by a wonderful teacher; Jaquline Chiodo.

In the Spring of 2016,
I was in a car accident inflicting injury
that prevented me from working for several months.

During this time I took the opportunity to take a course in Reiki to aid in my healing process.

I am now a certified Reiki Level I practitioner.

I am a freelance writer and aspiring novelist.

I am also continuing my studies in the
Faculty of Social Sciences at
McMaster University, Canada!

Q & A

When did you know you were a writer?

What would you be doing if you weren't a writer?

Like most, I had a vivid imagination throughout my childhood, I was always creating stories for my toys to act out.
I started writing down my first stories when I was about 6 years old.
They were about my bunny rabbit named Bella.

I have a life long love affair with the Ocean and would definitely be a professional Mermaid if I weren't a writer.
Free-diving is still a goal of mine !
Check out Mermaid Melissa to fall in love with the Ocean and it's
gorgeous creatues !

What are your interests?

Your advice for writers?

I'll try almost anything at least once !
I think of myself as a curious combination of adrenalin-junkie and solitary, bibliophile, catepillar...
Some of my favourite memories are of zipplining in Central America, surfing, and horseback riding to secluded waterfalls, as well as spending my Friday nights in my PJs listening to the rain fall, and snuggling with my bunnies and rereading Harry Potter.

Go for a walk, a hike, a stroll, a jaunt, a quest,
an adventure, a skip.
Get yourself outside and moving. Untether your mind. It is so used to the confines or the school desk, the office; your creative spirit will rejoice with it's energetic freedom in the great outdoors.
